Coastline magazine: "Leinolat Group’s strategy is based on profitable growth and sustainability"

Leinolat Group is a family-owned company with more than 60 years of experience behind it. The company offers comprehensive expertise and solutions for the metalworking industry. Under its umbrella, there are a variety of different companies, which are all united by the spirit of the Leinolat family: an ambitious way of working and world-class product quality. The Group is based in the Vaasa region, at the heart of the energy cluster. The Group's subsidiaries:

Kilkanen is an expert in precision machining

Leimec is a supplier of demanding ventilation solutions

Uwira manufactures piping products and pressure vessels

T-Drill manufactures pipe fabrication machines and solutions

Bobi.com designs and markets parcel and mailboxes

Adiabatix manufactures demanding insulation solutions

Lars-Erik Schöring, CEO of the Leinolat Group, is proud of the companies' top know-how. They are all strong players in their own fields and known as incredible export companies.

"Our customers are buying more integrated and larger solutions. This requires us to have the capacity and expertise to deliver them – and we do", says Lars-Erik Schöring.

"T-Drill is a world leader in pipe fabrication solutions. I would argue that the over 50 countries they export goods to every year is some sort of an export record for a Finnish SME. Bobi.com is also a top exporter and its biggest market is Japan, with about half of the turnover."

The Group's structure has been developed in recent years, as cooperation between its subsidiaries and with customers has intensified like never before. For example, Leimec has been manufacturing mailboxes for Bobi for 30 years and, in 2022, Leinolat acquired a majority stake in Bobi.com.

"Kilkanen, in turn, has been manufacturing flywheels and other engine components for Wärtsilä for several decades, and in 2020, Kilkanen acquired a large portion of the engine block manufacturing business from Wärtsilä. This acquisition demonstrates a high level of trust between the global engineering company and its manufacturing partner", says Schöring.

Leinolat's strategy is to continue its profitable growth and invest in sustainability. The company's positive carbon footprint and handprint reflect its concrete investments and commitment. In addition to sustainability, growth and success have always been a part of Leinolat's DNA. Schöring knows where their roots are and have been for many decades: entrenched in the company's values.

"They are the three Ts: Teamwork, Trust and Transparency. By focusing on and investing in them, we ensure happy employees, satisfied customers and profitable growth."

Coastline Magazine is published by the Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce. The magazine presents all important export companies in this thriving region with the highest number of industrial exports in Finland.
