Markku Välimäki has been appointed Managing Director of Uwira Oy, effective October 1, 2025. He succeeds Arto Aro, who has decided to pursue his career outside the company. Markku joins the company from his position as Plant Manager at Valmet Technologies Oy’s Lapua plant.
Markku brings over 30 years of extensive experience in operational management, business development and performance improvement, as well as in the sales and marketing of products and services within the engineering industry. As Managing Director of Uwira, Markku will be responsible for achieving the company’s strategic goals, ensuring the quality of customer service, and managing day-to-day operations.
