Markku Välimäki has been appointed Uwira’s new Managing Director

Markku Välimäki has been appointed as Managing Director of Uwira Oy, effective October 1, 2025. He succeeds Arto Aro, who has decided to pursue his career outside the company. Markku will transfer to the position from his Plant Manager role at Valmet Technologies Oy in Lapua.

Markku has over 30 years of extensive experience in leadership, business development and efficiency improvement, as well as sales and marketing of industrial products and services. As Managing Director of Uwira, he will be responsible for driving the company's strategy, customer service quality and plant operations.
